Public privacy

September 14, 2007

I’ve never quite understood blogging.  I’ve used it.  As a means to a beginning.  I have 2 blogs…this and the other…but they’re occupation/business related blogs, they have a point (um…well…) and I have always scoffed at the kind of blogs that tell you how they’re feeling and how life is just so painful, blah, blah boring and then they milk the sympathy for all it’s worth and f**k me, what’s the deal with this whole “soul connection” and virtual relationships and cyber cocktail parties?

This is a bit different but…In response to a comment I made on another blog site, it was suggested by someone purporting to be the someone I had asked this question of, that the blog site ‘contributors’ wish to remain under the radar…”low profile”…and my first thought to that was…”well why the heck is it there for all to access??“  I mean I found it.  I didn’t do some hack (ha!) manouevre.  I Googled a name et voila…it was there.

If they really wanted to keep it “low profile” then why post it on the WORLD WIDE WEB?  Why not just store photos on a memory stick or email them home?  Why compile a video clip? Why write a public diary?  It’s just all too odd.  At first I had a hard time believing this was the real deal.  The images were real though….but images can be stolen.

Or maybe it was all just a dream?  Funny…my husband, 2 of our boys, some readers of this blog, we all had the same dream… I say ‘dream’ because…the blog is no longer there.  pfft.  Disappeared.  Gone.  It’s surreal.

Then again it could have been real and my comments scared them all off…just got a horrid thought…I make the assumption that people are lazy and don’t bother tracing back to the roots, people are not natural investigators…but…what if I was traced back to here??  Eeek.  Enough gushing seemingly adolescent crap on this blog to scare the living hell out of one person.  And all links lead to Rucks and Rolls.  Great.

I have used this blog to share a thought pattern and action process with anyone that is interested in The Gamma psychology.

I’d say philosophy but psychology sounds pretentious enough.  Besides I’ve always maintained I have i-shoes…! (…by the way…it is not recommended that one load their post/s with lots of links but do I look like someone who mistakes a recommendation with a rule?)

I use this blog to express my public personal thoughts & opinions.  And my general silliness. I don’t share my private self but am well aware that my image and my words are “out there”…like the truth…

…but what I don’t use this blog for is to maintain a ”low profile”.  If I wanted to do that, this blog wouldn’t exist.

What next?  The Wallabies pay the ARU for letting them play Rugby?

“low profile”?  Ba-low-ney.

Fassion 35: Not quite black & white

September 12, 2007

I’ve been a bit too serious lately. …silence…(cue sfx: crickets chirping…and why & how the hell does that denote silence anyway?  I mean…hello?…crickets chirping is not silence, it’s just lack of other noise…)…Anyywayy…

Judging by the many requests for GlamJet (and the GammaHoodie sales), black remains The New Black and although I love the idea of black and have many many black garments/items/accessories/belts (Tae Kwon Don’t Try Me!)…all black bores me.  Especially if it’s Dan Carter.  Yawn. (more…)

A tic away from being that kind of fan…

September 10, 2007

The strangest thing…well not the strangest but…

A few days ago, whilst Googling for Stephen Larkham photos  news re The Wallabies (which is a lie because I get news feeds and releases but it’s my blog and I’ll cover my ass metaphorically speaking any way I want to) I found this;

World Rugby Tour – Stephen Larkham’s diary

I’m not too sure if this is for real but…some of the photos on it are just a bit too personal and ‘inner circle’ to be anything but the real deal.

The blog moderator’s tag is ‘Superdoopa’ (rhymes with Adam Ashley-Cooper?) and I think it’s the team’s ‘personal experience’ blog and oh God…I left a comment.  Way to stay under the radar.  What next?  A TVC advertising my privacy?

Anyway…have a look…pledge your support…I really should be writing this on Rucks and Rolls but…I’m embarrassed!!  Regular readers of this and R&R are extremely aware of…aherm…my Rugby loyalties…Oh damn…I’m a tic away from being that kind of fan…hence my embarassment.  I feel like a freakin’ groupie!  And don’t even think “starts with S rhymes with talker”…but dayam…that Man is seriously beautiful…

I can’t believe that the blog hasn’t been found by Wallabies fans and inundated with comments…I have peppered my recent-since-discovery articles with sneaky links to this blog, sneaky because they’re not highlighted but the trackbacks will be picked up…I think…not too sure how this s**t works but hopefully my traffic boosts its visibility.

And I am not going to post another comment.  Maybe…
