I Maketh…

I post images to a ’street’ fashion site called Style Diary…it’s a fun thing to do, share your personal style with everyone else and view others ideas, manifestation and expression of style. 

Plus I’m used to the rather bizarre act of self-portraiture and although I usually have an audience and occasionally an ‘operator’ when I’m doing this (my husband and/or my children!), 95% of the time I face my trusty camera on timer and tripod.  Yes it is an act of commercial marketing vanity.  And silliness…which is why I’m usually laughing my sass off in the images!

Of course I do have an ulterior motive…why else would I post images of my personal style on a site that caters for label whores? Whoops.  I meant…fashionistas…

…especially because I have my own site on which I express my personal style but by now, regular readers know what Fassion is all about and it’s got nothing to do with fashion…I’ll get to my motive later…

THintegrity

Hate to use my personal blog as a ‘gripe-vine’ but…I’m a bit stunned by what I have witnessed today. 

The blatant abuse of surface integrity.  Only I could see how thin that layer was but only because I am privy to knowledge that the others present, were blissfully unaware of. 

Won’t touch on the where, who and why because although I am quite certain that this gripevine  blog is also blissfully under the radar….one can never be too sure…and face it…I’m having a bitch.

Gimme Summer That!

Ohhhhh I love love love Summer…and it’s officially here! 

So naturally it’s raining and cold today.  Ahh Mother Nature…she is such a Woman.  Just when you think you know what she’ll do, she does something else.  In that respect Mother Nature is a GAMMAZon.

Back to Summer…and apologies to the Northern Hemi-readers… I love the heat!  I get so excited! I thrive in heat, which may sound a bit suspicious but that’s not what I mean.  (Although I certainly glow pre/per/post thrive…was that too much?  it was wasn’t it?  Oh well…at last I’m not giving you a blow by blow and oh my God why does that sound…so… lascivious??)

Anywayyy.  Despite the blah-ness of today, I am in a very joyous mood.  And I’m cheating with this image because this is not what I’m wearing today but it is how I feel.   I’m at home and the halls are alive with the sound of amusement……just don’t call me Maria…that would be an..understatement…

Again, I write not to express some profound thought or revelation or offer a solution to a global crisis or argue an erudite or naive point of view or to inform/educate/create awareness /rally against the system.  I write merely to entertain the anonymass… okay the anonyfew…

I don’t know who you all are and I truly don’t know why you come here. Or what brings you back but I so very much appreciate you being here.  I’m not a diarist nor am I an author.  What I am is perhaps best described as an Aquanauteur…and I just might explain what that means one day…’til then I bid you all a very Happy December!

…well it sure as hell wasn’t Melbourne Cup Day.  geddit?  geddit??  ah sheesh.  I crack myself up.  Twas paradise if you’re a fish.  Or a drought stricken country…which we are and have I used that lame ass line before?  Probably.  I need new material.

Anyway, I’m so not a gambler of any monetary sort.  I don’t even like horseracing unless it’s a 2 or 4 wheeler beast with horsepower…or a perfect 10 Brumby ‘ghosting’ through enemy defense and…oh sigh…why did he have to retire?…and why can’t I just stay on track?…geddit?  geddit??…Forgive me.  I am writing this incredible journalistic/literary revelation at an odd hour…the title is a reference to GlamDusk

A Gamma Wonder Woman…

…no that’s not “wonder” as in “wow” but “wonder” as in “why?”.

Sometimes I wonder what my purpose is.  …as in, what the purpose of this blog is.  What the purpose is of wondering about what the purpose is when I have stated quite emphatically that the purpose of this blog is to just be?  It’s raison is simply d’etre.

…and who are you all??  The ones who wander by…you’re invisible to the (metaphorically) naked I…sort of…

Straight Up with a Twist

The problem with me…well, one of the only problems I am going to admit to in public…is that I can’t write straight.  I’m bi-textual.  See what I mean?  I don’t talk like that.   

…but I do dress like that.
