The thing I found most surprising about your post was, well… that you were surprised by the outcome of the election. Who couldn’t see that coming from a mile away? Howard sure knew what was coming.

Those with an inflexible viewpoint are always going to tend to stick to their opinions one way or the other. Given I don’t know anything about you, I would be interested to hear how you think things have gone since you posted this.

As for me, I have been relatively happy with how things have gone so far. Speaking personally, I am never completely happy with how governments from either side are going – cards on the table wise, I like the fact that we had 13 years of Labor followed by 11 years of Liberals. It gave both sides time to make structural changes which were much needed. Time will tell if Rudd actually does anything meaningful.
